I just downloaded a few new video files, which are MPEG-1 compressed, but I can't seem to get them playing.

I've already got the newest version of Quicktime, the latest DivX codec, PowerDVD for .vob files, and the Windows Media Player 9.0. I downloaded GSpot, but it can't seem to know which codecs I have installed and which ones I need to get files working.

If anyone can help me out with this, it's much appreciated.

It might be MPEG2 not MPEG1.
You don't need to download anything to play a MPEG1 video.
    For MPEG2 try this

Awesome. I'll be sure to look into both of those as soon as I get home.
