MMA Misaki's blow was illegal *PIC*

    When I first saw the video, I thought it was legal and fine as Akiyama's knees were off the ground. Upon closer inspection, you can see that Akiyama has a hand on the ground, which apparently means it's a soccer kick to a 3-point (hand,both feet) downed opponent. That is my understanding at least, unless someone can quote the official rules in English instead of Japanese.

    I was about to delete the thread anyways because the rules were vague for me this event

    It probably is legal...but if not it should be a DQ

    I don't think it's illegal.

    When I first saw it, I was kind of shocked because it happened so fast and totally looked like a soccer kick. I figured the ref let it slide because it was Akiyama, and you could tell who the Japanese were behind for this fight.

    To me, he was a downed opponent still getting up off the ground.

    Amazing fight! That would have been a good one to actually be in the crowd for.

    he was speaking japanese and the translation needs to come after he talks or else you dunno wtf is going on.. he spoke to him like a child though.
