Any1 know how to create a mirror imgae of oldd smaller HDD to a bigger new HDD, so that new HDD will replace olderone w/o loss of data ?

btw, I have a DOS based s/w diskmirror or disk image, but when I tried to use it, after booting in DOS, the application started, but it would show only one HDD, so, I cudn't select mirror image file on new HDD !

I just did it the other day. Norton Ghost is the easiest way to go.

I had a 15GB and a 30GB and had WinXP on the 15 wanted to move it to the 30. Fired up Ghost selcted source and destination, copied fine. After that I powered down, swaped the drives physicaly and rebooted into XP with out a glitch.

I'm not sure what you are asking.

I had WinXP on the 15GB. I wanted it on the 30GB that was empty. So I coppied the 15 to the 30 and formated the 15.
