Having a problem. Just installed 6.03 and registered it. :cough:

When I go to any given server and any given room to download, say, videos of VCR repair, and I attempt to download - it won't. It'll give me the message "DCC is attempting to send you a file. Please setup your client to accept.".

I've gone through all the settings with a fine tooth comb, and they are all set correctly. I even added some extra extensions to the accepted files list, etc but can't figure out why it won't popup the download dialog box.

    Anyone? :sadwavey:

Only thing I can tell you is under the main DCC options in mIRC options, make sure it is set to "Auto Get File and Resume if File already exists"

Also make sure DCC Ignore is turned off permanently

Well, now I'm getting the error that 'File blahblah.tar is being ignored due to file extension'.. or some bullshit, but if I go into DCC, it's setup to be OK.

    Suggestions on this?

I've never had problems with mIRC in the past.. So weird.

I'll take a loot at my mIRC when I get home.. It's been a while since I did that, but the DCC Ignore option is the one I believe that you need to turn off completely. I'll let ya know what I find out.. :hs:

Do you have DCC ignore turned off? And if it is, make sure it's not set to come back on.

And set it to Auto-get file and minimize.

Other than that, that's pretty much it.

    :dunno:

If you get a file extension ignore error, make sure that DCC Ignore setting is not set to "Ignore Only" and then certain file types.

    Hope that helps.

That's how mine looks. :sigh: I'll uninstall and reinstall and try again.

I need to find my old version (5 I think) on CD somewhere. NEVER had any problems on that. :uh:
