Since the victory over Randy Couture at UFC 102, the Brazilian Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira was rumored to fight the loser of the title fight between Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin, but the postponement of the bout forced the UFC to change the plans. According to Sensei Sportv’s blog, Nogueira’s manager confirmed that the Brazilian will face the undefeated heavyweight Cain Velasquez at UFC 108, which takes place at January 2. Stay tuned at TATAME.com for more news about the UFC.

Damn, this fight could really go either way. I dunno who i'd pick on this, i like both of them but i hope Nog pulls off a sub or somethin. Either way it's gonna be a really good fight, can't wait to see it.

I really hope Nog wins, because there is no way in hell that Cain is going to beat Brock.

Awesome fight! Probably the fight I'm most excited for now that Brock/Carwin is on hold indefinitely.

Am I the only one who doesn't really want to see this fight? Maybe I just don't want to see either guy take a loss. Feed them both someone lower down the ladder and give them both title shots.

For some reason I see Nog subbing Cain. I could totally be wrong, but Nog is a champ at taking a beating in guard and getting the finish. I think his standup is better than Cain's too.
