I recently bought the camera and it arrived today, but it makes the strangest sound. At first I thought it was memory card struggling, but I took it out and it still makes that sound (sounds like a computer processor in a way, I guess you can say). Also the camera is refurbished and I was wondering if it was happening because it refurbished, or is it normal? It still takes good pics BTW.

    :dunno: Help me out please.

I was thinking that, but it does it when im not taking a picture, like just flipping through the menu, or right after take a pic. But then again, it can be. I was trying to get it to do the sound again, but it wont.. I've never heard a digital camera make that sound before..

I remember reading something about the lens motor making some rattling sound? According to Minolta, its normal.

it makes a horrible noise switching in between the EFV and LCD, is it stuck in between? Good camera, bit it has way to much plastic on it for me to ever really sell.
