Is there any company & model I should look into? Probably something like the price rage of $300-$400 or less. It's something for personal use so I dont need any crazy gizmo on there like a built in rocket launcher or death ray. I was looking around bestbuy couple of days ago but I'm out of the loop when it comes to knowning what is good.

I haven't had good luck with the panasonics at all- and do highly NOT reccomend them.

I would most likely reccomend Cannon. They make huge TV cameras so they have more experience and technology- therefor giving you a better home video recording product. :)

I have a Cannon Mini*DV something or something lol. It works AWESOME- and I use it both on a Mac and PC.
