Just thought I'd post my '03 Cooper S, what do you all think.. It's a daily driver, but I try to keep it as clean as possible! The mods aren't extensive, but it works for me so far. I might tint the windows a little bit in the future.

I think black rims look ugly. Should of gotten silver instead. Nice car though.

tint it for sure. 35% all around -windshield should look very nice on that car. although i dont like black rims usually without a chrome/siliver/polished lip. yours just dont set anything off on the car really? still nice though, must be fun to blast around the corners in that thing

Well, my car isn't a drag car, and I don't use it as such, but here's an unofficial list of the MINI 1/4 mile times. The twisties rock.. The rear sway adds a whole new take on handling.

    http://www.ross-tech.net/andy/mini/dragracing/quartermile.html

My car is set up similar to #3 (same mods, different manufacturers though), but I don't know what it would do.. I'm assuming mid/low 14s. I had silver stock rims on the car, and didn't like em.. To each his own! :big grin:

Really? No power eh? 200+hp in a 2600lb body. About 13lbs per hp, on the conservative estimate. It's no Ferrari, but there's plenty of 'pick up and go'. If I ever get it on a dyno I'll be sure and let you know exactly what the figures are (200hp is what similar cars with the same setup as mine get). Comparing a Honda Accord LX V-6 at 3285lbs and 240hp.. hmm.. That's 13.6lbs per hp, and that's a V6. It's also 4 grand more than my car. So, ya, it's got some power, albeit not a 350hp GTO or Corvette.

nice car, how much space do you have inside? there are backseats right can you actually fit people in there, and how tall are you?

not my car, but i was able to fit a 300 6'1 guy in the passenger seat, and i think another 6'1 270-280 in the rear seats...quite cramp on both ocassions though.

17's are probably the norm for most cooper s. (choice between performance 16's or the show/performance 17's)

car stumbles badly on low gear but mid to high gear it's great. i usually get though town on 2nd gear, get's up to 40-55 at redline

with the mods he probably gets upwards to 180-200HP (stock is 165)

Yes, quite roomy.. I'm 6' even, 175. Plenty of room. I've had four people in my car for short trips. I'm running at the moment 205/50/17 on all corners (was recommended by my installer). The sidewalls are a bit too high for my liking (rubs on hard hits), I like the stock 205/45. If I go back to the 205/45, I'll be lowering it about an inch (most likely with H-Sport or M7 springs) and toss on some better brakes (thinking TCE Wilwoods). Haven't done any upgrades in a while! Been saving for a brake kit.
