WASR 5.45X39 $375 OTD and it seems straight. It came with two mags, a metal one, and a poly mag. The poly mag doesn't fit for some reason. Anybody know where I can get more mags like the one in the pic?

    It's black, aren't bakelites brown/clear? I can take a pic if needed.

Yeah bakelites are orangish/brownish in color. If its black polymer its probably Bulgarian. Not sure who's got the metal's in stock cheap at the moment, but consider getting some bakelites too you can get 2 bakelites for the price of one metal.

Aim has some Romanian mags for around $13. Not really that cheap but oh well.

http://www.copesdist.com/ak47.htm Copes has some too for cheaper I think but you have to navigate through the rest of their stuff which is kind of a PITA.

    Oops, my bad, I didn't see it was a WASR-2 :o

I have a few East German Bakelites but I don't like them as much as the plain polymer Bulgy and Polish mags.

Oh snap. I just saw AIM lowered their Plum Bulgy mags, I'm going to have to order some. Yeah they are beat up but they will make nice range mags.

No, they work just fine. I never take use them 'cause I have a pile of Bulgy and Polish ones that are beat to shit that I don't feel bad abusing :o

A bunch of people did a group buy that I missed out on with the EG ones but I ended up picking up some from someone who got to many for ~$9 a piece shipped or so. I'll let them sit and look pretty for now, the followers definitely feel smoother than the older poly ones when I load them up.

I got 8 well used ones for $40(4 mags & pouch for $20) and about a dozen NIW ones for like $6.99 each. I should of bought more of them back then. Only have a couple steel ones wouldn't mind more of them but I like the lighter bakelites better.

Pretty good prices :hs: I'll break in a bakelite or two tomorrow, it's probably going to be pouring rain but I haven't gone shooting in a long time so I don't care. I doubt the prices are going to raise that much on them so I might as well use 'em.

AIM wants $25 to ship 4 ammo cans and 5 mags. Time to go to the surplus store and see if they have them cheaper
