Corpsmen are tied with Marine units as Marines don't have their own medics. Unless that's changed since 95.

I can't answer for Iraq, but when I was in afghan for a year a couple of weeks ago, there were navy people over there. There wasn't much, but there were some Navy people. I think it depends on what job you choose. Don't choose something too techie like networking or anything with communications. I THINK thats what they were there for. For communications purposes.

Thats like that no matter what branch of service you join. All the army dudes say, "I should have joined the Airforce" or shit like "Airforce is chil" but all the guys that say this shit has never been in the airforce. I'm sure every branch of service sucks in its own way. Different types of bullshit.

if you're worried about this ... i suggest not joining up ... worst case scenario is you come face to face with a life saving situtation and you bitch out ...

stay out until you are ready to die.

Personally, I'd rather work at AFCAP. They work with the airforce. I heard theres like many different positions available. They make more than KBR/Halliburton. Be a Civilian contractor/Civilian DOD person. you get paid more with the same benefits.

Not necesarliy. One of the units that took over for us had like an ass load of hot womens. They were all in the army. It was kind of depressing seeing all of them hot chicks in Afghan when we were going to leave instead of them being there the whole time when we were there this past year. Grr..
