just like regular bullets basically. the clear plastic tip with paint inside as seen in the ones in my pic fires like a regular bullet does. hurts like hell when it hits you. think paintball, but fairly more accurate as the sim round is more like a real round and not a ball

won't lead and paint have pretty different balistics regardless?

and i assume the troops would have to wear face protection?

a shot in the eye would kill them, wouldn't it?

A normal paintball could kill if hit in the eye, so im assuming those will too.

how could it kill if it hit in the eye?

of course, death or having to leave behind your lifelong calling are two piles of the same shit.

We only use blanks on training exercises here. :hsugh:

We're getting a MILES-ripoff soon though (hopefully.) And I've never seen a simround, although sounds like a pile of fun.

I don't really get what you mean by the second sentence, but I hear those things shoot at the same fps as a real bullet. A shot in the eye with one of those could easily go into the brain you would think.

getting hit in the eye by anything sucks, a guy we were playing paintball with when i was younger was runnign with his painball gun and had his mask up. he tripped, fell and the barrell went in his eye and the gun went off, fucked up his eye really bad but he survivied.

I wonder what the Navy SEALs were trying to prove training without any sort of face mask or ballistic goggles. That they're stupid? It's too damn easy to get hurt doing that shit.

But on the topic, I've only used MILES, us weekend warriors (this is a long weekend...) don't get the cool shit like sim rounds. Like everyone said, MILES is worthless.

I've used sim rounds extensively through my training. They are the most realistic form of "live fire" training available. They allow you to enter the fight using the gun. The shots aren't as loud, but they are still there.
