    It feels so... powerful!

Got a lower end dedicated server with ThePlanet a month ago for a multiplayer game that I'm building. Decided that their prices and speeds were decent and got another one for all of my web stuff.

Mediatemple was good for the $100 range VPS's but we've outgrown them. (We had 2 VPS's and a couple upgrades totalling around $220 :ugh:)

So now with ThePlanet, for $230 we're getting:

    2 x 250GB HD
    2 x Quad Core Xeon (2.0 GHz 1333FSB - Harpertown)
    4GB RAM
    4 TB of bandwidth/mo
a 100 domain plesk license (MediaTemple was 30)

I actually ordered a single proc quad core and they hooked me up with 2

Plesk migration was so easy that I could barely believe it.

After many dedicated servers I finally moved to a fully manager server... best decision I've ever made  I had no idea I was getting constantly attacked and that's why my server was so slow. I was about to hire a second server for another website but after my load dropped so much because it was secured and had a firewall that worked correctly, I saved myself the second server and was able to host both sites on the same server

    I pay $299 for this:

    AMD Phenom 64 X4 9650 Quad Core
    2 x 1000GB Sata II Drives
    8GB DDR2 800 RAM
    Bandwidth: 100Mbit Unmetered per month
    IP Addresses: 10 ip's
    OS - CentOS 5
    Fully Managed Included
