I have never had any problems with my wireless mighty mouse but the last few days when using the little scrolling ball on top, it will not scroll down but will scroll up. Physically it moves down but it will not scroll down the websites. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

turn the mouse upside down, get a microfiber cloth and get it a little bit wet, then use the cloth and a finger to put pressure on it and go up and down, and left and right.

I don't know hwy they use a ball. For movement (traditional mice), one of two main reasons everyone moved to optical was because it's easier to clean (the other reason being accuracy). Balls collected dust. That's why I never understood why mighty mouse uses a ball. It should use a scroll pad, like in a certain [ugly] logitech laptop mouse

the trackball definitely looks more "stylish" then a traditional scroll wheel, but yes, I definitely agree. I have to clean my mighty mouse at least once a month.
