I can't decide between the two. The Logitech is really feature rich and the new technology is quite nice, but I could get by with what the Mighty Mouse offers.

Ive heard a lot of complaints about the logitech software though..
Mebbe take a look at kensington mice, ive been using 'em for years, and the software is pretty good.

Or perhaps USB overdrive will solve the software problem :dunno:

anyone found a way to assign properties to the extra buttons on mice? I've got the MX900 and therer are like 5 buttons on this thing that don't do anything. I'd like to find some way to make one of them launch dashboard for example

Well I ended up getting the MX1000. It's amazing, so smooth and has a good weight to it and the grip is fantastic. The programming seems fine for me, everything on it works just fine and you can customize it without a problem. When you click the scroll wheel it originally simulated a double click which was cool, but I didn't need it, so I changed it to do a refresh page, perfect for OT. I also had a $15 off at Office Depot so it wasn't TOO bad a price, but you get what you pay for.

I just had to share how freakin stupid some mac users can be! Theres either the smart as hell mac users like most of everyone here and then theres the morons aka cattle .. its like theres no middle of the road when it comes to mac users. I'm on my second mx1000 and it's still the same piece of shit that it has always been. It is very comfortable to the hand but the fucking thing skipps around like a retarded kid having a seizure. It'm about to get a wired mouse, I don't need wireless. fuck it.

I was at the apple store yesterday, and I got a feel for that mighty mouse. I was impressed :o This mx1000 feels nice and all, but it acts like shit. I'm definitely gonna have to replace it.

another thing i don't like about the mighty mouse is when i'm scrolling in firefox sometimes the mouse thinks i'm scrolling left and it takes me back a page. i know this is a firefox thing, but i've got no idea how to change it.

I've got the MX900 and it works nicely. Only compalints are there are no updated drivers. I'm not even sure if there are OSX drivers on the disc that it comes with. I've read a few stories about how the drivers sucked, so I didn't install them....yet.

And, I wish the bluetooth battery meter worked.

Edit: I'm retarded. I guess there aren't any OSX drivers for the MX900. :hsugh:
