Randomly my wireless mighty mouse will loose connection with my imac and the only way to restore connection is to shut it down by holding the power.

I try turning the mouse on and off and my imac still doesn't recognize it so I have to restart it.

    Any Ideas?

I had a problem with this and beleive it or not was caused by interference with my wifi connection. try changing your wifi connection to like ch11. worked for me. i know thats what it was because my kb and mouse would go apeshit at the same time.

EDIt: reread your post and mine wasnt as bad as yours i could still just turn off and on my mouse and it would come back.

Change the batteries and make sure the metal tab that slides to engage the mouse is clean and snaps into place properly.
