I want to plug a midi keyboard into my computer. Unfortunately, I don't have a joystick port (a.k.a. gameport) on the computer, and the only MIDI cables I've seen are joystick port ones. (how many pins is it? 15?) So I'd like to know, is there a way to use serial or parallell ports as "gameports", so I could plug the keyboard in? Or do I have to get an extigy or the like? I'd be very thankful for any help...

found this on a google search for "midi cable serial port"

look for "PC serial port to Midi cable"

    maybe it will help :dunno:

edit: your keyboard will have to support a serial protocol (rs232, etc.)
