I have been messing around with the Microsoft Office suite that came installed on my powerbook. It's only a 30day trial but I really like it. I want to buy a copy of this because I am in college and alot of my assignements require PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and I just generally need to conform to format for most of my teachers and classmates. My school is worthless and doesn't sell copies of it at the bookstore! I know some of you can get it for very cheap at your university's bookstore. If anyone could help me out locating a copy and shipping it I could pay you for everything and little more for your time. If anyone is interested shoot me a PM.

Apple has student discounts in their online store, also I bought a PB at an Apple retail store with a student discount. Don't know if they have discounts on software but it would be worth checking.

Pricegrabber it. I can get the academic version (which, by the way, you can legally install on 3 PCs - it comes with 3 SNs) shipped to my door in California for 132 bucks. I doubt Apple's discount is cheaper, particularly with tax. Search for "Office 2004 Academic".

EDIT: Redzuco.com is offering it for 129.99 with a 30 buck mailin rebate. I have no clue whatsoever how much it costs for shipping and tax. You can find the rebate on pricegrabber. It expires April 25. Personally, I hate rebates and never factor them into my buying decision anymore, but if you're looking for it cheap, this is probably the way to go (assuming tax and shipping aren't astronomical).

I think he was referring to Microsoft's student purchase program with a lot of major universities whereby you can purchase full Microsoft software for around $10. I know the program is available to students at Texas A&M and t.u. in Austin for example.

I don't know how the hell you got it for 10 bucks... Our school doesn't seem to have that deal, which is kinda surprising, but whatever. Bookstore here is selling it for 150. I'd assume that buying it from Apple is that expensive as well.
