Hey sorry for being annoying and stupid but this is pissing me off. In Explorer when you type in the address it lists sites you've been to that start with that letter, I'm sure everyone knows what I'm talking about... well even after I clear my history, there are a few websites that are still there and it's really pissing me off and can't figure out how to stop them from still being listed. Any body know why? or how to fix it? or any suggestions?

    thanks

there's something you can do to stop them from popping up... i think it's somewhere labeled auto-complete or something like that... ring any bells? it's the same thing that remembers words you've searched for on google or yahoo and finishes them for you when you start to type them again... I'd tell you exactly where it was, but i'm on a Mac right now... try looking for it in tools -> options

How you fucking people read what other people have suggested before pulling these brilliant gems out of your ass.

Actually what I told him was very valid and couldn't harm his registry - that is the location where typed URL's are stored which I felt was what was he was looking for since he said only a few websites were still popping up, which I took as he had already gone down the auto complete route.

This is my pet peave - it happens in the main forum all the time but it goes so fast so what can you do. This forum doesn't move nearly as fast so there's no excuse.
