does a 0.5kg plate suitable for a 52mm bar exist? all i can seem to find are one branded as "olympic" which are for the 24mm bars....or i cant buy them seperate from any weight sets which do include those plates..

i need a set of two to take to the gym while on a 5*5 routine as my gym only goes as low as 1.25kg which means i have to jump 2.5 kilos every week on my program...this happens to be over the 2.5% recommended increase on my pr each week.

Fractional plates are expensive. Just buy some big nuts (the hardware kind, like nuts and bolts) and attach them with a string.

You can laugh if you want, but fractional plates are rediculously expensive, and nuts are really cheap at the hardware store, and they're heavy. Your body doesn't care what you're lifting, or if the extra 1lb on each side comes from a plate or some hardware.
