Finding them for sale isn't a problem. They are all over the place. It's the funds that can be a problem for most.

They are very fun guns to shoot. And with the option of running it in either 8mm or .308 it's cheap too. Our friends had to put a rate reducer on theirs becuse it was firing to fast that the ammo couldnt keep up with it.

you know the small arms sounds in saving private ryan and pearl harbor? i know the guy who did every single one of those. his name is kevin brittingham, and he owns advanced armament corporation. while i haven't seen his collection, he has classic machine guns that would boggle the mind. he has MG42's, of course, and japanese machine guns, and all sorts of shit. but two particular pieces that i'd love to have: his two FG34's. what makes them so nice is that they made two different types. they made about 800 of each. kevin owns one of each type of those fallschirmjagers. his collection is what moviemakers come to when they want authentic firearms sounds in their movies.

I think you mean FG-42. Dad's friend just transfered a 2nd model. Cool guns but absolutely horrid and talk about loud.

stupid germans. it's a good thing they didn't crank out more than one MG each year.

in other news, did you guys hear about that iraqi that was found using a WWII-used sturmgewer? there's pictures of it in SOF this month. it's probably out of some museum. but the funny part is: what the hell is he shooting in it?

It has probably been adapted to 7.62x39. But on the other hand there is still a lot of 7.92x33 still floating around the middle east.

yeah, it's not his firearm selling, it's someone else's. it'd be like if you pointed to something for sale on ebay.
