    I wasnt talking about the night sky picture they used but actually of you guys photographing one of them.

    Awww, those poor meteors are stuck in the sky...Hey look kids, there's Big Ben, and there's Parliament.

    The Perseids meteor shower would be very well worth it to take pics of. You should be able to do it from any place away from city lights. Just point a wide angle lens towards the Northeast and set your timer to shoot 30-60 sec shots every once in awhile and eventually you'll catch a couple meteors.

    The Perseids are the best chance since they usually come at a rate of 60-200 meteors per hour so you'll likely average at least 1 per minute.
    Also you can try 2-3 days before and after the showers peak date and you'll likely see some.

    You can watch from your place too. I always try to watch from Ohio, but its usually cloudy. If its not cloudy this year will be great since the moon is not gonna be around.
