Lately I noticed I can't eat breakfast anymore, its like a pain in the ass and I am really not hungry. For lunch i eat medium portion and for dinner sometime a larger portion or the same size portion. I really don't eat snacks, maybe some pig skins if we have them. I just don't feel hungry like I did when I started working out. Im really never hungry, I just eat. I workout pretty much everyday, should I eat more little snacks during the day or something? I am probably getting like 1500 calories or less. I am feeling weaker at the gym too.:wtc:

If you're trying to put on weight, you gotta eat. Try taking in more liquid calories, they're less filling. Eat natty pb straight from the container, or find other really calorie dense foods. Eat untill you feel sick, wait an hour and then eat again.

You answered the reason you're feeling weaker in the gym with the sentence before it.

Metabolism really doesn't have much to do with appetite. Look at the people who weigh 600lbs or more, they have terrible metabolisms, but they sure do have a hefty appetite.

maybe since you are dieting, your stomach is shrinking...causing you to not be bale to eat as much :dunno:

that really wouldn't explain the appetite loss

The stomach is very elastic and can expand to hold at least four times its normal "empty" volume. Yet no matter how much or how little you eat, it eventually goes back to normal. It is true that when you eat very little for several days, your appetite level will drop, for a while. No one knows why this is but it probably isn't caused by a "shrinking" stomach. The mechanism that controls appetite level is in the brain, not the stomach.

You don't want to eat 900 calories/day, especially with how much exercise you say you're getting. You'll want to eat about 500 below maintenance with all your exercise factored in, allowing for cheat days. I also very much doubt you're eating 900 cals/day while doing all that exercise, post what you eat on a daily basis by signing up for fitday.com or something.

I have a log, but I have been lifting less, but I probably be adding a lot more, I have been trying to stay on my atkins diet, and do more cardio. Havnt cheated yet but only been on it a little over a week. I feel like eating sometimes but its more of a phycological thing. I am really never hungry anymore.

After several weeks, your body gets used to your calorie deficit and will attempt to adjust itself to maintain fat. You should eat maintenence for a couple weeks to get your metabolism back to normal before resuming your diet.

I ate breakfast today and I felt awsome when I went to the gym. I added some carbs in the morning too, even though it was only 8 net carbs.

    ... explain?

Yeah eating in the morning will get glucose into your system and get your body ready for the day, you want to eat in the morning, more than 8 carbs.

2 whole wheat low carb tortillas, i guess they are 2/3 fiber.

They are 12 grams total carb
    8 grams total dietary fiber
