Can anyone direct me to a site that has some good message board source code?

    Thanks in advance!

There are plenty of free PHP based systems... vBulletin is 150+ for single ownership, but there are tons of others.. phpBB, UltimateBB, etc..

Depending on what type of back end programming you are looking for or are familiar with, ie: ASP, PHP, Perl, there are plenty out there.

As mentioned before, http://www.phpbb.com is a great source for a PHP based community.

http://www.snitz.com has created a ultra easy to use ASP based forum, and http://www.ikonboard.com has a Perl based web forum.

I have used them all and they are all pretty easy to install and configure.

Yea, vB is expensive, and the best.

But the free ones are pretty good. I like YaBB myself :)

Im gonna have to sorta agree with Penguin Man.

I like YabbSE becuase it uses PHP and MySQL instead of Perl like Yabb.

Meh, back in the day when I actually ran a YaBB there was no PHP/SQL version, so yea, I'd agree on this one, PHP/SQL > Perl (unless your server doesn't upport PHP/SQL).
