I am looking at hosting a message board for the Somali community and would like to know any message board that have multiple language support. Now I know phpBB has it, but I am very reluctant to use them because of all the spam and what not. MyBB was my next choice but they don't have Somali language support. Any ideas/recommendations?

vbulletin, ipb, burning boards. if they don't come with the language as default you could most likely just download and install the language add on pack.

www.phpbbhacks.org they have the best hacks for phpbb, phpbb isn't bad at all and with a couple mods you can make it so you don't get spam

I had a few mods on both of my PHPBB forums to handle bot sign ups. Basically if it contains a signature or website on initial registration I dump the user, I took those fields out of my sign up screen. Also most use the std time zone, I changed those and if they use that it'll dump them as well. There were a few more things . . . I had some code that dumps the user and post if they happen to make it past those checks and post a message with a link in the message body. :big grin:

phpBB is a security nightmare. Run far away.

A properly secured vbulletin forum will outperform and be much more secure than a comparably modified phpBB.
