I have to share my home with this creature and more, it is just too beautiful to do it harm.

    C&C welcome.

This ground spider (Wolf spider) typically lives in burrows. I have a few on my front lawn, some with a lid and some without. If you tease the edge of the hole with a long blade of grass, you can get them to come out. They have awesome eyesight and are very quick. This one grows to about 2.5 to 3 inches across.

    Baz.

In America, whenever you hear about Australia, you always hear about those damn Wolf Spiders. You always see pictures of them behind wall clocks and crap.

We have wolf spiders all over the place, don't need to go to australia for that shit.

Killed one in a cabin one time, and staked it out on the 2x4 railing just for shits. The fucker's legs hung off both sides of the railing :eek4:

My mistake, it's actually a Huntsman. I found a link to it and for once, got a picture of the underside of one.

It's called a "Badge" huntsman spider.

The Wolf spiders living in my lawn look different but are of similar size to this one.
