For me, I know guys are going to check out my w2b (fuck, I know if some dude has a hot SO, I'm going to check her out) and it doesn't bother me unless they cross the line. The line is: starting or leering at her like she's a piece of meat. Take a quick look, and move along.

Are you bothered when other people check out your SO? What do you consider crossing the line?

:dunno: I guess crossing the line would be touching him/flriting heavily with him

So, a girl steadily staring at your man wouldn't bother you?

Its disrespectful to both her and I. She isn't a piece of meat, or a muse for any sexual fantasies.

Well I'm a girl and I would get a little mad if I were to see a girl staring at my guy. A quick look isn't so bad. If the girl is ugly, then I don't care if she stares either lol.

I draw the line pretty much where you do, MCohen. If I see a hot girl and she's with a guy, I just glance and move on. If she's by herself though, all bets are off.

I feel proud when guys check my S/O out. It is funny too when a guy is walking with a girl and checks my gf out from head to toe haha.

if a guy looks/stares at my girl it does not bother me. she's very pretty.

if he buys her a drink i walk up and say nothing. just smile at her. this is when she inroduces me. he gives me a fake hello and leaves.

once he puts her arm around her i expect her to say something to him. if she does not (never happened) i would get pissed. at her.

My co-worker just got married a couple months back. He was telling me he went to a club with his wife last weekend and went to get drinks and when he got back these guys that were trying to chat up his wife called him a "cockblocker". He was pissed.

Its about disrespect. A guy who stares at your woman is basically saying "yeah... and you aren't going to do shit about it little man" I mean its rude to stare in the first place, but just like any other scenario, another man being blatantly rude to a mans SO in front of him is an act of open aggression quite a bit more serious then the rudeness itself.

:werd: Exactly. Two sure ways to get your ass kicked: 1. Disrespect a man in front of his woman. 2. Troll someone on a VW forum.

    Reluctantly agree.
Reluctant, because I'd like to think myself above that... but I'm not. :o

lol. on vacation recently one of my buddies dropped a quarter into this cougars exposed ass crack. She actually was pretty amused by the attention before we all realized her husband had just at precisely the wrong moment turned the corner.

Poor guy ends up threatening to break a chair over my friends head. I felt bad for the guy because he had to do it. I went in at this point and de-escalated the situation by admitting that we were drunk jerks blah blah blah, and the the poor guy is going on and on. His wife sensibly realizes that this guy faces a very real risk of having something bad happen by going on this way with 6 younger mostly bigger drunk guys, and tries to say it "wasnt so bad and it was even a little funny" and that really cut the balls off the guy and he starts yelling at her too. Poor guy's night was completely shot.

    felt kinda bad about it.

having your wife or gf cut your balls off or even try to cut your balls off is probably the #1 most infuriating or embarrassing thing that can happen next to finding out shes fucking your best friend

    Wow that sucks.

The male to male dynamic is something I have found rather tricky to deal with in social situations, not being monogamous.

Emily and I don't own each other. But the world has certain expectations, prejudices, beliefs, and so on, which unfortunately come into play once you're out together. It is easy for a guy to make his interest in Emily a slight against me, if he wants to, because of how I am framed.

Showing that there is nothing for him to prove or to fight with me over is a good approach for me.

Then again, it goes both ways. We act very independent of each other when we go out. So if / when it drops that Emily and I are in love with each other (let alone Husband and Wife), the other guy sometimes feels tooled, awkward, or otherwise disempowered.
