Memtest86+ Results v.pic

    Ok, I have been having alot of weird problems with my pc lately... and while i have ran thru the list of what could be wrong (in my head) the easiest thing to test first was my RAM. I figured i do that before i started buying new things to swap out.

    Low and behold, i was right... i think. Below is a screenshot of the results.

    It shows 7 errors on Test #7. I would think this means that my RAM is fried in some capacity... but i want to make sure thats the real diagnosis before i go hunting for new RAM.

    Thanks in advance.... sorry for any noobishness... this is my first experience with memtest and (potentially) bad RAM.

    either bad ram or bad memory controller...

    usually it's the ram, tho.

    And if it were teh memory controller... what would that mean? New mobo?

    aye... unless it's amd64-based, then new chip/mobo
