I tried shooting pics in the RAW format for the first time yesterday. After trying to view that on the camera, a message stating "Memory Card Error" has been coming up. I cannot save any new pics on the card, nor are the RAW shots I took showing up.

I've tried formatting the card on the camera, but it simply shuts off when I try this. I've inserted a different card and that one worked fine, so it can't be the camera. I haven't tried shooting RAW on that card yet :noes:

The card is a ScanDisk 256mb CF, and the camera is a Canon PowerShot S70.

    What to do???

    card is dead.

if you registered it with lifetime warranty, send it back. if not, throw it away and buy a new one.

Next time be sure to buy a Lexar. That's rather odd Ive had an error on a cheap card I got before, but my camera burnt it out we determined. Make sure you get a fast card you get what you pay for. Right now there's rebates at Ritz so you can get a 1GB CF card for $79 or $89 i forget which after the $50 rebate. Killer Deal! 512MB is something like $39.
