ok so i'm looking at an ASUS P6T deluxe and notice the supported memory says:

    "Triple-channel DDR3 2000(O.C.)/1866(O.C.)/1800(O.C.)/1600(O.C.)/1333/1066 Memory"

so i assume O.C is overclocking which i don't know much about.

what will i have to worry about if i go with say 1600 as compared to 1333?

Nothing, except the RAM will probably last longer because it's running slower than it can.
