I just got a membership a the local Planet Fitness. This gym has no easy bars and straight bars, and ONLY 2 bench sets. Everything else is just cardio. WTF?

Is this the norm at every Planet Fitness?

I guess at 10 bucks a month I shouldnt complain. Nice decoritive gym though

did you not tour the place before being a douche cunt and signing up? Just because it has fitness in the name doesn't mean its a swole center.

My Planet Fitness is not that bad. The only complaint I have is that there is only one squat rack.
Membership is up soon so I might go somewhere else. :o

The weight room at my university is decent besides all the idiots that go there.

I just graduated so I'm going to have to find something else... the Gold's in town charges $45/month (if you sign up for a year and I'm moving in 3 months... dunno what normal rates are) and I've heard horror stories about everything else in town :hs:

    hahaha:rofl:

Sounds like you're a guy that actually lifts weight...then how the hell did you get tricked into joining Planet Fitness?

I heard horrible stories about that place. Pretty much a gym for girls and sissy men. Maybe a great place to meet some girls but other than that it is not a good place for men.

  16. I usually go to the San Jose one but also to the Mountain View one a few times as well...I just show my little beeper scanner card thing and they say whatever. lolz.

They all seem to be pretty similar. 4-7 or so benches, maybe like 4+ incline benches, a few declines then DB's up to 150, a ton of squat racks and some other stuff, few DL platforms.

I was just happy to see that there were so many squat racks compared to the 24 i went to off Cox in Saratoga...they had one.. lol AND PEOPLE WERE ALWAYS DOING FUCKING CURLS IN THEM

  18. lol @ people curling little ass weight in the squat racks. why not just use a fucking "pre-made" bar? :dunno: they build a bar with like 85lb tops and then do like lower back curls/raises to get it up.

is there a promo code or something? the one by me is $35 month + other start up fees

  20. It was a deal going this summer and fall. Now they have it at $29/mo and like $59 sign up fee IIRC because they want to get their money out of all the January joiner February quitter type. Maybe check back in Feb/Mar for the deal again.

iirc Gold's is a franchise and are all independently owned.

so start up, monthly, any other fees will vary from gym to gym
