Maybe someone tripped on their way in and broke their foot?

That's not a bad idea. I'll make a horror movie, and pay a couple people to trip and hurt themselves on their way in at the screenings, just so I can boast that paramedics had to be called in.

Talked to a guy today at work..

Tarantino had a piece in the movie, so it's at least worth looking at to me.

    Another reality apparently
Guy at work is an idiot, he must not have seen the same movie.

And tarantino didnt have a piece in it, he had his name on it. He is done making movies, so it means nothing other than he got good money for letting them put his name on it.

That is the oldest horror movie trick in the book.

Go watch some of the old horror movies made back in the 50s and early 60s.

One time I sent an ambulance to the movie theatre for a guy having a heart attack, I think he was watching The Grudge.

There's an old black&white horror movie called "The Screaming Skull" that starts off with a shot of a casket and a narrator saying that the producers have offered to pay for funerals for anyone who dies of fright while viewing their movie. I thought of that the first time I saw the Hostel trailer.

All hype. Just saw it. The gratuitous nudity was not plentiful enough and the 'scary' stuff wasn't all too scary. rotten.com made me jaded.

I thought it was an excellent movie, one of the best horror movies I have ever seen.

Quentin Tarantino had more than his name on it. You could tell he had some creative control over it just by the scene shots and editing, it definately had Tarantinos work in it.

How do you know Tarantino had nothing to do with the movie? Why would he let people put his name to a movie that he had nothing to do with? If the movies sucks that could hurt his reputation.

The ambulance thing is true, I was listening to an interview with Jay Hernandez on Sirius and it happened in Toronto at a pre-screening.

The movie was fucking horrible. I cannot believe anyone could like that garbage. Way over rated and over hyped. The best part about that movie was the previews.

He secured the funding for it. HE did not direct or write the movie, he was the producer and nothing else.

The reason his name was plastered all over it was to hype it up and to get people to see it.
