looking into getting something for my hdtv to record tv shows and to upconvert dvd's to high def. is it easily possible to do with a mac mini or something else apple offers? would it just be easier to setup a htpc with *gasp* windows?

    thanks in advance.

Don't think eye TV supports HD, I think you need t he eyeTV 500, and that doesn't decode digital cable from Comcast etc.

It should get over-the-air (OTA) HD channels.

MediaCentral is also a pretty damn cool, and there's a full crack on OiNK. Its a full screen media center thing, and would be perfect for a Mac Mini
