ME Lower (vid)

    Some vids from thursday....heavy lower (ME phase)
    right click and save as...
    warm ups
    box squats olympic stance
    245x10
    315x10
    365x10
    425x6
    box squats loose briefs and belt...wide stance
    515x5
    575x5
    615x3
    665x1

    The breifs I had made when I was 320#, I am now around 280#, the belt is on the last notch and I can barely feel it.

    As far as form goes, my attempt at 665 was fugly, I lose my arch right off the box. I am recovering from a herniated disc though so my back is really weak right now, I am doing all the rev hypers I can. Overall, considering that I haven't been able to squat heavy for months and I am 40 pounds lighter..not a bad day.

    I think my set up needs work, but every time I jack with it I feel weaker. Other than my back problems I think my set up may be why I am dumping forward on heavy attempts. Thoughts?

    it does not look like you are sitting (pausing) on the box, maybee move it back more, I usually only put my asss on the box. mehh nevwermind about thee bar thing, good lifts.:bigthumb:

    Nice vids, makes me hope I can get back to squatting eventually. You've also got some crazy hamstring development going on.

    the box is 13" even, the bumper plate on top of it is like 2" so it is about 15" total. I have been training for about 7 years.

    you're right. I usually do sit relax the hips and go, but my briefs are so loose now that I have no hip support and hence I treat it like a touch and go raw box squat.

    yeah, I have enough to get by here

    you may wanna try wrapping a mini around your knees too, they some together, mine do the same thing when i get heavier..

    Nice, does that cage work for bench also? I'd maybe like to pick up something since i need a self-spotting home gym.

    just wondering..but how does elbow placement affect a sqaut? what is the correct position?

    Get one from elitefts.com.....they are a little more expensive but the best quality you'll find
