Hey guys I had a question regarding hooking up a MBP to a TV Via this (component).

I plug it in and my mbp automatically sees that I have this plugged in and switches resolutions. But on the tv the quality looks awful, very blurry I didn't expect it to be this bad. Is there something I have to change on my end to make it look somewhat half decent? I can't imagine S-Video and Component being that much more different. My TV doesn't support HDMI so im SOL on that :greddy:

What kind of TV do you have? That's composite, not component so I'm assuming it's an older standard def CRT? Change the resolution of your 2nd monitor, or in this case your television, in your system preferences to match the resolution of your TV. This will give you the best possible image and you can tweak it from there.

I'll wait and see if you have component or composite.

just turn mirror mode off, and have the tv set to 480x320

s-video would be a slight improvement if you can get a cable cheap.
