At no extra charge, you can choose a glossy widescreen display that lets you view graphics, photos, and videos with greater color contrast.

Hmm, I think I would go glossy. Is there a reason they put glossy on "entry level" laptops (macbooks) and not standard on mbps?

Glossy doesn't work well with graphics people, and since the MBPs are geared more towards resource-heavy apps/users (such as anyone doing graphic design), they made it an option? I dunno, just my thinking.

matte screen is better if you do production color work (print or video) but glossy tends to look better to the end user. glare on the glossy is minimal, I've never had a problem.
