MBP casings?

    i would love a carbon fiber MBP casing, or skin.... do they exist or no? if not... anyone have a spare casing to use as a plug to mould one?

    they had red ones at the apple store last time i was there. it was $50 bucks tho. :hahano:

    meh...vinyl is fine for a stick-on application

    definitely agree that a solid carbon fiber case would be top notch tho :bowdown:

    i do... thats why i was asking if one existed.... it would be hell to make due to the extreme precision required... i would need a spare casing too, since i dont want to risk destroying mine...

    the big question is... skin? or replace the actual aluminum casing?

    I remember that thin ass Sony notebook, the case was made completly out of carbon.

    The upper models of the Sony SZ series has CF screens, they are baller.

    It would be cooler to replace the whole case! Maybe for a 12" G4? Haha...

    You can paint something to look like carbon fiber...that's what they're doing.

    they have a color called carbon (aka blackish) but dbman96 is right, they don't actually paint something to look like carbon fiber. would be BA tho

    What I'm saying is, you CAN paint the EFFECT :). Ricers do it all the time on their cars...

    I think it looks crappy IMHO! I really believe a sticker/decal would look much better than painting it. I was just mentioning other options haha.
