Mazda Rotary 1973 RX2 - candy apple paint, engine, trim. update: VIDS OMG OMG -kinda launch -risking my life Posted pics up here before but figure I should pop a thread in here. It's a 1973 Series 2 Mazda Rx2, with a S1 grille/headlights Mechanical: - Series 4 13B Extend Port (9,000ks) - Decomp S4 Rotors - Gilmer Drive/Pulley setup - Xtreme H/D clutch and lightened flywheel - Dowelled/balanced, 3mm apex seals - 2.5" exhaust through to Rotaflow muffler and 4" tip - K-Mac front sway bar - Reconditioned brakes, new clutch slave/master - Stock cut springs (handles like shit but is somewhat predictable), s1 rx7 diff (3.9) - Battery mounted in boot Exterior: - Candy Apple Red paint, (Spraychief Crimson) - looks great after a wash, has some blemishes particularly on the roof where it appears to have been damaged by sun or something and is a bit faded. Was rectified to a certain extent and isn't really that 'bad' - Reflectors, indicators, badging has been removed/smoothed over Interior: - Retrimmed roof in grey cloth - New carpet - Cream gear / handbrake boots - Stereo: VDO CD player headunit, subtle and not wanky - suits dash. Alpine S 6x9's mounted on capetted parcel shelf. Also have a really good condition dash and all interior kick panels in good cond but aren't fitted. Pictures: http://www.stylemy.com/misc/rx2/ http://www.stylemy.com/rx2/whitewalls/ http://www.stylemy.com/rx2/ To come: - Maybe rims one day. - I'd like a turbo, or a larger port (bridge port). - Cream front seats. Paint looks sexy in sun light. I've cleaned up the bay a bit, spraying a few things flat black. Gotta do the air filter, or just get a new prettier one. Shoots fire when you back off at 9k. Stereo headunit not in here, or kick plates. Retrimmed roof. Sorry for the pic overload, just wanted to cover most things in here.
