    i have an 83 trans am and i need some ideas on how i can beef up the rear diff. Any suggestions would be nice

    Well you can get a better differential, but are you talking about the rear end itself?

    With a 10 bolt its a losing battle. You can weld the axle tubes, get better axles, get a better diff, get a good set of gears, and all of the other little tricks like a solid crush collar.... but in the end you will still have a rear end it an extremly weak ring and pinion gear.

    that's what i mean i want to change it completely to something bigger but because of my gas tank i have limited room to do it so I'm wondering if there is a company that makes diff's for camaro's/trans am's. Or if i can get one from another car?
