    Happened in Scranton, PA.

I parked the car at 11pm last night and everything was great. I woke up this morning and thats what I saw. I've owned the car almost 3 years and still with one original light (other was replaced after hitting a deer). Now I'll get two new ones. Insurance is covering everything after I pay my $250 deductible, so I'll be without it for a week or two. Anybody else had this happen? What did you do to prevent it from happening again?

I do appreciate your sympathy....thank you.

I'm not worrying about it though. I wasn't even really that pissed off when I saw it. As odd as it is....I just felt bad for my car.

I haven't had this happen (not too many cases of that in the south other than in Florida) but this is the reason insurance is so high on the maxima. They're on the top 10 list of stolen vehicles because of their freaking headlights....ugh.

I actually kinda hope someone takes mine :o I want new shiny ones. haha

    Sucks.

Doesn't look like they did any other damage, but hard to tell with the water/dirt on the paint. :dunno:

Were they HIDs? I'm no expert on the Max (I've liked 'em, though).

If not, might be an opportunity to upgrade. :x:

yes, all 5.5 gens come stock with HIDs, which is why the thieves steal the headlights in the first place. They sell off the ballasts and bulbs...

Yeah, its been raining here the last two days or so. I didn't see any damage to the bumper or hood at all.

Buy them from the dealer and they cost $1200....people sell them on ebay for about $600, and thieves just sell the bulbs/ballasts and trash the housings...they're also very easy to steal.

Quite possibly. However, when I first saw the car, the hood was opened. I believe they might have opened the hood first somehow.

Just got the call from the shop. Estimate damages will cost about $1800.

Times like this I don't mind paying the insurance bill every month.
