max temp for external hard drives?

    i just took a terabyte seagate drive out of my home server and put it into an external enclosure. this drive always ran hot around 44C
    now its around 52C, its pretty warm in the enclosure.

    i'm really only going to use this drive as a backup drive. so it will get powered up maybe once a week for an hour. it should be good right?

    You're fine imo. I'd worry once it hits 60c though

    seagate drives get hot its normal. think one of mine runs around 140F range lol about 5 years old
