I've been looking for a good routine to follow for a while and after looking around at a few, MaxOT seemed to grab my attention. I was just wondering who here has done it and had good success with the program?

I'm open to routine suggestions too. I'll be bulking for the next 5 months.

it's the routine i started with. i liked it as long as you don't mind them telling you you won't succeed without their ast sports nutrition supplements. also their nutrition calculator is ridiculous, tells me (a 160lb person) that i should eat like 300g of protein a day. but other than that, it's a solid routine and nice to follow. i think it helped me build a good base, as it is generally heigh weight low rep, 3-5 reps i think.

When bulking, 2g of protein per pound of bodyweight really isn't ridiculous.

I liked it a lot, did it for 4 months and put on 15 pounds and I have an extremely hard time gaining weight. I quit doing it because it killed my joints, started coming down with a lot of injuries. Started doing higher reps but still use their principles.

I would do it, but not for a long time. Great info, obviously pay no attention to their product promotion, although I did use their Creatine HSC and VP2 for a short time.

well i just went and looked at the calculator.

    i put this in:
    sex: male (it's true)
    age: 23
    weight: 160 lbs
body type: mesomorph (although i doubt i'm pure meso, probably ecto-meso; but i tried ecto and endo and it doesn't change the protein that much)
    activity level: moderately active

and for protein it says: 346.5 grams. now it's just my opinion, but i think that is pretty excessive. even compared with most other bodybuilding info i've read.

    Hardly necessary though.

I think its when cutting that more protein may actually be needed.

    yeah, because carbs are protein-sparing

i did it. saw great strength and size gains. of course they push their products, which i didn't heed. the things i liked most about it were that workouts were short and intense. i like lifting heavy too vs 8-12 rep range. secondly, my work capacity is very minimal to say the least
