matrox video cards good? bad? problems?

    so i am going to have a extra monitor i wanna hook up to one of my pc's for dual monitor. read the post below but i built a pc for a guy doing video editing and i installed a matrox g450 and i thought it kicked ass. i was wondering if anyone had any matrox they ran and /or if any has opions or problems with it? thanks all

    my bro had a matrox millenium g450 dual head and it worked good for dual monitors. It didnt work that great for games that didnt require much (ex: the sims). Laggy here and there, and especially on NFS Underground.. So I wouldnt recommend it for gaming at all unless you play yahoo pool or checkers :rofl:

    His was the 32 mb version btw... but I sold it for him and he now has a Geforce2 mx400 32mb :bigthumb:

    Matrox makes some awesome cards for 2D, but as he said, 3D is a bit more of a challenge. Great for office use though.
