despite being a guy who does a lot of accessory work, i gotta say i enjoyed this article and completely agree with the premise.
Too bad more people don't subscribe to this theory. I lifted last week and only did Deads, bench and btn push press. My whole body was sore for a few days.
That was basically my workout last night. Incline bench, deads, SOHP. But I did do some pre-exhaustion sets with flyes and btn pulldowns.
Nice. Simple and effective.
This article reminds me of a buddy of mine. He was on his way to the gym the other day, and I asked him what lifts he was doing and he replied "I'm going to shape my back."
He's 160lbs. And he eats so much but he can't seem to gain any weight
sounds like the premise that the 5/3/1 program and starting strength were built on.
Exactly. Its exactly why I LOVE 5/3/1. It's no bullshit.
agreed, just finished my first cycle of 5/3/1, probably the most fun I've had weightlifting.
Need to elaborate on this
steroids make you huge, brah.
Unless you get supplements for the low or free its a waste of money. Save what you spend on 3 bottles of a stim and throw it towards a 10 week cycle of test. More gains, more strength, less fat.....WIN!
