I agree. I dont play Star Trek games like Mass Effect and Halo. But it's good to know I have the option of playing it on PC if I wanted to though.

mass effect 1 caused my 2nd xbox to brick.

it's just too much game for the 360's hardware. sucks, means they probably didn't improve side missions. guess i'll just grab this on PC instead, been saving my 360 for nothing.

Yep. Massive memory leaks in ME1. They ironed it out in development pretty good towards the end.

I'm the reason they had to put a 250 item limit in the game. During Certification testing (Product is damn near ready to ship out the door, just needs OK's by cert team) I found out that if the player had too many items in their inventory without deleting them, it would eventually cause the game to crash no matter what you did. You couldn't delete the items after a certain point, because it would just freeze from all the memory usage.

It probably doesn't sound as interesting as I'm typing it out here...but it was fucking funny to see them put an Item limit in the game, weeks before the game was supposed to be out.

I think the reason I never finished mass effect 1 was because it sounded like it was raping my dvd drive.

Now I will install it to the hard drive and if it rrods I will just tighten some screws and be fine.

lol, ME was the first game to freeze my 360 up. During my playthrough, it must of froze 3-4 dozen times. Even with my cooling base, it would run hot as fuck. It probably would of rrod without the cooler. :noes:

mine would occasionally pop up with a disc read error while playing, put me in the habit of saving every 5 minutes.

It's amazing to see general feedback on how ME ate up their xbox's. It was indeed a graphically intensive game for what it was. PC version is where it's at.

Found a youtube video on making any toon wear any armor. I was gonna post how to do it, but it's been so long I forogt the exact steps.

i felt cheated as a xbox user. they described the game as exclusive (not timed), and it was the only reason i purchased the 360. low and behold, 6 months later a much better version is released for the PC

    i purchased a ps3 shortly after
