I saw in a wiki that 6 of the 12 points for Charm, Intimidate can be gained just from playing and gaining paragon or renegade points.... This being true, is there any point in PLACING points in Charm or Initmidate early? Obviously you could just place 6 in right from the beginning and be set to max at 60.

Is there any other benefit to just maxxing charm ASAP? Forcing it to 12 as soon as possible?

Since I'm going paragon I probabally wont put any in Intimidate until next playthrough when I go renegade...

If you plan on doing multiple playthroughs there is no point.

If you're only doing one you'd probably miss out on some paragon/renegade choices without adding points.

If I remember correctly there's a full charm/intimidate option at the end of the game that changes something fundamental in the game.

I always liked to keep charm or intimidate maxed out just to make sure I could say whatever I wanted

you get enough skill points that you should be able to do this without a problem on all difficulty levels

Focus on charm, as there's a place where you can infinite loop a BIG renegade option.

That's how my ME2 import had max paragon and renegade. :o

It was for ME1, and I don't remember what it was. I think it was the Turian on the ice planet.

On the planet Noveria, head to the hotel bar and look for a Turian named Lorik Quinn. Accept his quest to steal the data from his office. Once you get the data, the receptionist will ask you to get Quinn to testify. Tell her you'll do it, and then go talk to Quinn. From here:
    1) Tell Quinn that he should testify (top left option).
    2) When he refuses, select the Charm option (top left) for Paragon points or the Intimidate (bottom left) for Renegade points and end the conversation.
    3) Talk to him again, and ask about the Matriarch.
    4) When he gets done talking about her, select the "Other questions" option (bottom right).
    5) Now, you'll have the option to ask him to testify again (top left). He'll refuse, and you'll be able to use the Charm or Intimidate option again to gain another 24 Paragon or Renegade points.
Repeat steps 3-5 until you have all the Paragon or Renegade points you want.
    enjoy :o

Oh shit, it's that guy. I've actually noticed that before but never thought to do it over and over for infinite points :eek3:
