Mary graduates from University at the end of this month, so she went to a Pontiac dealer and picked herself up a brand spanking new car.

Yes, there are brand new Pontiacs that exist without body cladding. Perish the thought.

It's a 2001 Pontiac Bonneville SE model, lightly optioned. She couldn't afford a brand new Firebird and the insurance on it, or a brand new SSEi sadly. But after I drove this one it turned out to be pretty damn good.

Under the hood rests Buick motivation, the 231 CID 3.8L V6. 205 horsepower and 240 ft-lbs. of torque, not too shabby. 31MPG doesn't hurt either.

The cockpit. It actually has a surprising amout of soft touch surfaces and perfect fit and finish on this particular car. Much better than I anticipated.

my dad used to have a bonneville. SE. Gave it to my grandpa and got himself a TL Type S.

You know the little Integras run quicker than the SSEis despite the latter's SC? I was confused by that, but whatever.

Oh yea, nice boat, er, car ;)

The first model SSEi was faster than the current model.

An '02 SSEi hits 0-60 quick, but only runs 16s in the quarter mile.

Thankfully, a few hundred dollars can remedy that real quick.

Can't say the same for the SE though.
