Marines, you can avoid this, since I obviously know about McMap.

In other branches, do they teach any basic martial arts in your boot camp? Or after you get to the fleet, can you learn more?

Not in the Coast Guard. Though, that'd be cool. They just teach some self defense techniques and submission moves in boarding team member (BTM) school. Not everyone goes to BTM school.

The Staff Sgt who I work under is a black belt instructor. He wants to teach our unit but they wont let him for some reason.

I heard that Force Recon developed their own special martial arts discipline around the Israeli discipline of Jewhitsyu.

They taught us basic holds and strikes in basic training( probably similar stuff to the CG BTM), but I was already a 2nd dan black belt in tae kwon do before I joined the RAN..

I often teach crash courses on Brazilian Jujitsu to the guys my ARNG unit. Other than that we were just too busy to do other shit.
