I guess I missed it. LaRue did a match the same weekend as SMM3Gun and there was some bitching about the usual match stuff. I guess Mark read some of the complaints, signed up for a account and "addressed it".

I guess a bunch of posts were editted or deleted. Kind of AR15 forum style. I really don't want to speculate too much as I missed the fireworks.

I would of like to of shot the match as it had some innovative stuff like low crawling from position to position (forced to crawl though tunnels), and odd ball shooting positions (which I love). They purposely did not allow a open class because I guess open is not tactical?

Regardless the match looked cool. People got to shoot a dillon mini-gun.

one of the match videos I've found. I really don't understand the rules. No open class but I guess mag fed shotguns are now ok for tactical class at laRue. That's interesting.

No 180, clay birds must be destroyed to score, flying clay bird misses are 20 second penalties even in 35 mph winds. I heard the match was windy but after seeing this vid I got to say DAMN.

SMM3Gun was sunny with inconsequential wind btw.

I thought if you used an EoTech and Magnifier that would put you in open class?

They changed the rules. The magnifier is not counted as a optic. It was funny as some of the iron sight guys were trying to figure out if they could take advantage of this (it doesn't work). Would of been interesting if they could of put a magnifier in front of their front sight.

I'll have to ask around but it's not too hard to guess. People were bitching about the scoring system and how the rules were not clear or even written down. The rules were interpreted different by RO's from stage to stage. Standard safety rules like the 180 rule, dropped guns, guns not made safe before abandoning, etc were left to RO discretion on if it was a DQ, stage DQ, or just a time penalty. So Mark got butt hurt, went after some people and the Enos mods had to delete marks post and edit the others.

that guy just seems to think that he can do anything.

he should stick to making mounts for guns. that's it.

    stay off the internet.
don't try to host a run n gun.

It just looks weird because the guy has the stock in his chest instead of in his shoulder pocket. Many people are shooting with the stock in their chest (pec muscle actually). It lets you square up on the gun better, and your resting on muscle not bone. It really is the better way to mount the gun but I just could never get used to it. I still shoulder the stock.
