I'm in the National Guard and mobilized for deployment in December. My internet speed sucks the big red donkey dick, and every time I try to update my ipod touch firmware through iTunes it times out.

Is there any way to download this fucking update manually instead of using iTunes? I have a download manager on my laptop that can handle the frequent loss if internet and extremely slow speeds. I asked this same question in the Apple online support forum a couple of days ago, but have yet to get a reply.

    you can check here

    After downloading in iTunes:
If you're on a Windows based PC, hold down the Shift key on your keyboard while clicking on the Upgrade button. If you're on a Mac, you have to hold down the Option key while clicking on the Upgrade button.iTunes will then permit you to browse to the location of the downloaded file and will use that instead of downloading it from the Apple upgrade servers.
