So I'm using SuSE 9.0 and I'm trying to access the man page for the C bind function. Naturally I type "man bind" and instead I get the bash page for the bind command. How do I make it show me the C manual page instead? Same thing happens when I try to look up the "accept" function for sockets.

    Help is greatly appreciated.

    type

    man bind -a

Normally it just shows the first one it finds. This will show all of them. So if the 1st one isn't it hit q and it will go to the next match(if there is one).

You can also search for the man page by using man -k bind. Then you'll know what section it is and you can request the specific one you want.
